藝術家的創作多半源自生活中的「截圖」──那些看似尋常
卻容易被忽略的片刻：
晨間的光影、街角的偶遇、餐桌上的餘韻，甚至是一顆糖果的甜美。
糖果在作品中不僅是具象的描繪，更是童年的隱喻：象徵單純與快樂，短暫卻深刻，如同童年本身，轉瞬即逝卻長久留存於心。
粉彩是一種溫潤而親密的媒材，透過指尖的推抹與層層覆蓋，將這些日常瞬間轉化為可被凝視的存在。
截取生活的動作是快速的，而繪製的過程卻緩慢而專注。
糖果系列正是「快與慢」的隱喻：入口的甜是快，回味的餘韻是慢，而創作的過程，則延長了這段體驗。
在這些作品中，藝術家嘗試保存生活裡的微小記憶，也將糖果般的童年滋味重新召喚，讓它與日常片段交織，形成新的詩篇。
每一幅畫，既像是我的生活日記，也是一份情感的邀請：邀請觀者在光影與色彩間，與藝術家一同尋回那些被忽視卻真實存在的美好瞬間。

Screenshots of Daily Life, Whispered in Pastel
Artist Ya-Chin Lu’s pastels capture fleeting “screenshots” of daily life—morning light,
a passing glance, the aftertaste of a meal, or the sweetness of a single candy. For her, candy
is not only an object but a metaphor for childhood: simple, joyful, and ephemeral, yet
unforgettable.
Pastel’s soft, intimate touch allows her to transform these fragile moments into tangible
forms. The act of capturing life is quick, yet painting is slow and meditative. Her Candy
Series reflects this rhythm: the instant sweetness is fast, the lingering memory is slow, and
the process of creation prolongs the experience.
Each work is both a diary and an invitation—calling viewers to rediscover overlooked
fragments of beauty woven through light, color, and memory.
